Werder Bremen appears poised to welcome back striker Niclas Füllkrug, according to reports from broadcaster Sky. The forward is scheduled to undergo medical examinations on Tuesday before finalizing terms with the Bundesliga club.
Füllkrug began his professional journey at Bremen’s academy and spent four seasons with the club between 2019 and 2023 before transferring to Borussia Dortmund. Following his time in Germany’s top division, the striker moved to West Ham in 2024 and subsequently joined AC Milan on loan.
The 33-year-old’s stint in England has been marked by persistent injury concerns, which have significantly impacted his playing time and availability. These fitness issues have also resulted in his departure from consideration for the German national team during this period.
