NBCUniversal’s Peacock streaming service has begun testing a new membership rewards program designed to enhance subscriber loyalty and generate additional revenue through brand partnerships. The beta test is currently available to a limited group of randomly selected Peacock Premium and Premium Plus subscribers. The initiative aims to strengthen viewer connections to NBCUniversal’s entertainment properties while providing tangible benefits that add value to their subscriptions.
The rewards program features three membership tiers based on subscriber tenure: Gold for those with three months to one year of service, Platinum for one to three years, and Diamond for those with three or more years. Each tier unlocks different levels of benefits, including discounts on NBCUniversal and Bravo merchandise, complimentary Instacart+ memberships, and promotional offers from Pizza Hut. Additional perks are expected to roll out over time, such as exclusive access to Universal Parks experiences and early entry to NBCUniversal live events.
This strategic move follows similar loyalty programs launched by competing streaming platforms. It also comes as Peacock achieved profitability for the first time in the second quarter of 2026, boasting 48 million paid subscribers. Company leadership views this evolution from a traditional subscription model to a membership-based approach as a key growth opportunity for the entertainment and broader business sectors.
