Filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson has completed a concert documentary featuring Cameron Winter performing at the prestigious Carnegie Hall venue. The film captures Winter’s sold-out December 2025 performance and will be distributed across North America in 35-millimeter format beginning this November.
The theatrical run begins November 20 with screenings in New York City, Brooklyn, and Santa Monica before expanding to additional venues throughout the United States and Canada. Advance tickets become available September 17. Anderson shot the performance using both 35-millimeter and 16-millimeter film stock, documenting Winter’s piano-driven set that included material from his Heavy Metal album, Singles EP, and previously unreleased compositions.
Grammy-winning producer Ariel Rechtshaid handled audio recording for the concert, with Benny Safdie serving as co-producer on the visual presentation. The recorded music will also release separately as a live album on October 9. At 23 years old during the performance, Winter became one of the youngest solo artists to headline Carnegie Hall, a distinction previously held by Bob Dylan, who performed there in 1963 at age 22.
Winter’s Heavy Metal album garnered critical acclaim and appeared on Rolling Stone’s year-end albums list. He continues performing as a member of the band Geese and has additional tour dates scheduled for fall 2026.
