Acclaimed filmmaker Paul Thomas Anderson has directed a concert documentary featuring Geese frontman Cameron Winter, which has been acquired for North American distribution by Janus Films and Criterion Collection. The project captures Winter’s solo performance at Carnegie Hall in December 2025, filmed on both 35mm and 16mm stock during a sold-out engagement.
The concert film represents a collaboration between Anderson as director and producer Bennie Safdie, alongside producers Sara Murphy, Erica Frauman, and Maggie Ambrose. Music producer Ariel Rechtshaid recorded and produced the audio, which will be released as a live album on October 9 through Partisan Records and Play It Again Sam.
Winter has fronted the New York-based band Geese since its formation in 2016. The group released its breakthrough album “Getting Killed” in 2025 and is currently touring in support of the record. Winter previously released his debut solo album “Heavy Metal” in 2024.
The concert film will begin theatrical roadshow engagements on November 20, with ticket sales opening September 17. The limited theatrical tour will visit major cities across the United States through January, concluding with a stop in Portland, Oregon on January 18.
