The Missouri Thunder will bring professional bull riding back to Ridgedale for a three-day competition event over Labor Day weekend. Bass Pro Shops PBR Thunder Days, presented by DoorDash, will take place September 4-6 at Thunder Ridge Nature Arena near Big Cedar Lodge, featuring all 10 franchises from the Professional Bull Riders Teams League in head-to-head matchups.
The weekend extends beyond the arena with two major concert performances anchoring the event. Country artist Chris Janson will perform following the opening night competition on September 4, while Miranda Lambert headlines a concert after the September 5 events. The Missouri Thunder franchise, which joined the league during its inaugural 2022 season, will compete on its home turf with a roster that includes local athlete Maverick Smith from Cabool.
Attendees will find additional entertainment options throughout the weekend, including a Fan Zone designed for families with interactive attractions and children’s activities. Competition begins at 7:45 p.m. on September 4, 6:45 p.m. on September 5, and 2:15 p.m. on September 6.
