The Detroit Lions made several roster adjustments on Sunday, bringing in running back Trayveon Williams and cornerback Ekow Boye-Doe. In corresponding moves, the team released running back Kye Robichaux and defensive back Loren Strickland, both designated with injury status.
Williams brings professional experience to the backfield after spending the majority of his career with the Cincinnati Bengals since being drafted in 2019. The veteran back recently appeared in games for both the Los Angeles Chargers and Cleveland Browns during the previous season. Across his 75 career games, Williams has accumulated 72 rushing attempts for 343 yards.
Boye-Doe joins the Lions after beginning his professional career with the Kansas City Chiefs. The defensive back went undrafted in 2023 but earned playing time during his rookie campaign, appearing in six games for the AFC West team. The signings represent the Lions’ continued efforts to address depth along both their offensive and defensive lines.
