King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard hosted the second edition of their Field of Vision festival over the weekend at Meadow Creek in Buena Vista, Colorado. Each evening featured an extended three-hour performance from the headlining act, complemented by a diverse lineup of international artists and collaborators. The bill included progressive death metal outfit Blood Incantation, New Zealand’s Earth Tongue, and viral sensation Angine de Poitrine. Performers across multiple stages ranged from electronic musicians like Lisa Bella Donna to experimental acts such as zam-rock legends We Intend to Cause Havoc, who delivered two high-energy sets on Saturday.
Beyond the music, the festival maintained its commitment to celebrating inclusivity through its annual drag night tradition, which began in 2023 following a landmark legal decision. The event also featured interactive elements, including a dance-off experience and recreational activities around the Phantom Island pond stage. Notable appearances included Slayer’s Jay Weinberg, who returned for a second consecutive year to perform a special rendition of a track from the band’s 2019 album.
