Late-night television host Jimmy Kimmel is bringing his show back to Brooklyn for another week of tapings this fall. The comedian will film episodes at the Howard Gilman Opera House, located within the Academy of Music, from September 28 through October 2. This represents the seventh occasion that Kimmel has traveled to the New York borough to produce content for his program in front of a live audience.
Kimmel’s history with the Brooklyn venue stretches back more than a decade. He has previously recorded shows there in 2012, 2015, 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2022. Most recently, he filmed episodes from the same location during 2025. The guest lineup for the upcoming Brooklyn shows will be announced at a future date, with viewers likely to include prominent figures from entertainment and media.
The Brooklyn visit comes as Kimmel recently concluded a three-month hiatus from his regular hosting duties at the El Capitan Entertainment Centre in Hollywood. During his absence, various entertainment industry personalities including Rosie O’Donnell, Colman Domingo, and Tiffany Haddish rotated in as guest hosts. Kimmel returned to the host chair this week, which also marked the milestone 4,000th episode of his program.
