Isaiah Mack-Russell, a guard from Winton Woods High School in the class of 2027, has committed to play college basketball at UNLV. The athlete announced his decision through social media earlier this week.
Mack-Russell was one of the most sought-after recruits in the region, with scholarship offers from numerous Division I programs. In addition to the Rebels, he received interest from schools including Cincinnati, Xavier, Arizona State, Nebraska, Ohio State, Virginia, and several other major universities across the country.
The standout performer earned recognition as the Enquirer’s Division II boys’ basketball player of the year for the 2025-26 season. Last year, he led the Eastern Cincinnati Conference in scoring with an average of 23.7 points per game, demonstrating his offensive prowess. He particularly impressed in a game against Withrow, where he scored 43 points and connected on 10 three-pointers.
UNLV, coached by Josh Pastner in his inaugural season, finished the previous year with an 18-17 overall record and an 11-9 mark in Mountain West Conference play. The program advanced to the second round of the NIT tournament.
