Epic Studios and Rusk Media have announced a major content partnership focused on vertical drama series production in India. The collaboration will yield 50 original series across multiple genres, including mythology, romance, thriller, and mystery categories. This initiative represents a significant investment in building what the companies describe as India’s largest collection of vertically-formatted drama intellectual property.
The produced content will debut on Alright! TV, Rusk Media’s dedicated platform for vertical drama programming. The partnership leverages Epic Studios’ extensive experience in television, streaming, and film production alongside Rusk Media’s expertise in digital distribution and younger audience engagement. According to Epic Studios leadership, the initial 50-title commitment is merely the foundation, with plans to expand the catalog to over 250 titles by mid-next year.
Rusk Media, established in 2019, specializes in mobile-first entertainment targeting Generation Z and millennial viewers. Beyond Alright! TV, the company distributes content through additional platforms including Amazon MX Player and JioHotstar. Industry executives view the vertical drama format as a rapidly growing segment, with consumption patterns reshaping how audiences interact with serialized entertainment globally.
