Major League Baseball is returning to Iowa for the third time to host a regular-season matchup at the iconic Field of Dreams location in Dyersville. The Minnesota Twins will square off against the Philadelphia Phillies on Thursday, August 13, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. Central Time. This marks the resumption of the unique baseball event after a four-year gap since the last game was played at the site in 2022.
Netflix will exclusively stream the 2026 Field of Dreams game, marking the streaming platform’s inaugural year broadcasting Major League Baseball. Coverage begins at 5:30 p.m. Central Time on game day. Actor Kevin Costner, famous for his role in the original 1989 “Field of Dreams” film and his appearance at the 2021 game, is anticipated to have involvement in the Netflix broadcast in some capacity.
The pregame festivities will feature an unprecedented gathering of more than 25 living Baseball Hall of Fame members, representing the largest assembly of Hall of Famers at a game since the 2008 All-Star Game at Yankee Stadium. Official tickets through Major League Baseball sold out through a lottery system that closed in June. However, third-party resale platforms currently offer tickets at significantly reduced prices, with costs dropping from over $2,000 to approximately $400 as of mid-morning on game day.
