The Cleveland Browns announced a pair of roster adjustments on Thursday, bringing in cornerback Jeremiah McClendon while parting ways with cornerback Tyron Herring, who was waived due to an injury designation.
McClendon joins the team after spending time with the New Orleans Saints organization. The defensive back initially went unsigned during the spring draft before being released by the Saints in late May. During his college career at Southern Illinois, McClendon recorded 59 tackles, two interceptions, and a sack among other defensive contributions.
Herring, who had joined the Browns in May, previously spent time with other NFL organizations. He appeared on the practice squads for both the Green Bay Packers and New England Patriots during the 2025 season before his arrival in Cleveland.
The timing of these roster moves comes as the Browns prepare for their preseason opener on Saturday, marking the beginning of their exhibition schedule.
