The cast of HBO’s hockey drama “Heated Rivalry” is returning for its second season. Lead actors François Arnaud and Robbie G.K. will continue their roles as Scott and Kip, alongside Connor Storrie and Hudson Williams, who gained recognition during the first season as Ilya Rozanov and Shane Hollander.
Several supporting cast members are also set to reprise their roles for the sophomore installment. Sophie Nélisse, Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova, Callan Potter, Benjamin Roy, and Kamilla Kowal will all return, along with Christina Chang and Dylan Walsh. Additionally, the season will feature previously announced new cast additions including Justice Smith, Charlie Gillespie, Daniel Diemer, and Emily Hampshire.
The second season will draw from author Rachel Reid’s “Game Changers” book series, specifically adapting “The Long Game” and incorporating material from “Role Model.” The story will revisit the relationship between the two main characters a decade after their initial connection. Creator Jacob Tierney will continue directing and writing for the season, with Mike Goldbach joining as co-writer.
