The Mac Miller Estate has announced plans to release an anniversary edition of the late rapper’s 2016 album “The Divine Feminine” this October, which will include three previously-unreleased tracks. One of these newly discovered songs, titled “Butterflies,” has already been shared with the public, offering fans a chance to hear Miller’s previously-unheard material.
“Butterflies” showcases Miller’s signature sound with production by Taylor Graves and contributions from collaborators Thundercat on bass and Daniel Hardaway on trumpet. The mid-tempo composition finds Miller reflecting on romantic feelings, describing an idealized love interest with introspective lyrics. The other two unreleased tracks from the forthcoming reissue have not yet been identified.
Beyond the music itself, the Mac Miller Estate has developed a comprehensive digital resource dedicated to the artist’s legacy. An interactive website, created in collaboration with designers James Musgrave and Kate Doyle, serves as an archival tribute featuring media contributions from individuals who worked with Miller throughout his career. The site aims to celebrate his life and artistic contributions since his death in 2018.
“The Divine Feminine (10th Anniversary)” becomes available for pre-order immediately, with the full release scheduled for October 2nd. The expanded edition will feature the album’s original tracklist alongside the three new additions, giving longtime fans and new listeners alike access to additional Miller recordings.
