Hayley Williams’ collaborative project Power Snatch has released its second extended play just six months after debuting with its first EP. The band, formed between Williams and producer Daniel James, unveiled EP2 on Wednesday through Bandcamp, featuring a quartet of new tracks that showcase a blend of alternative rock influences.
The four-song collection includes “Machete,” “New Legs,” “Born Dead,” and “Hell Is a Highway.” The project demonstrates a distinctly ’90s alt-rock aesthetic, with Williams’ vocal performance complementing intricate instrumental arrangements characterized by dreamy yet dissonant elements. To accompany the surprise release, the band promoted the lead single “Machete” with a visual pairing the song against footage from the surreal 1973 animated feature film Fantastic Planet.
This marks Williams’ latest creative venture following her solo album release last year. Beyond her work with Power Snatch, Williams is preparing for an upcoming tour titled The Hayley Williams Show, which will span North and Latin America beginning in September and extending through November.
