Beau Greaves etched her name into darts history on Thursday by becoming the first female competitor to claim victory in a match on the European Tour. The 22-year-old Doncaster player defeated Daryl Gurney 6-4 at the Czech Open, marking a significant milestone for women in professional darts.
Greaves faced an uphill battle during the contest, with Gurney establishing a commanding 3-1 advantage early on. The young competitor demonstrated resilience and skill, stringing together three consecutive legs with impressive finishes of 14, 13, and 11 darts to seize a 4-3 lead. Although Gurney equalized at 4-4, Greaves ultimately secured the victory and claimed her place in the European Tour record books.
