Good Good Golf, a prominent YouTube golf content creator and title sponsor of an upcoming PGA Tour event, removed a promotional video after facing backlash for depicting violence against women. The advertisement, created in partnership with golf equipment manufacturer Callaway, featured a male member of the Good Good team shoving a female colleague to the ground over a new driver. The clip circulated on social media even after both organizations deleted the original posts.
The video featured Garrett Clark pushing Alexis Miestowski, another Good Good member, while telling her not to touch his equipment. Good Good Golf issued an apology on Saturday, acknowledging that the content did not align with the brand’s values and commitment to inclusivity in golf. Callaway Golf similarly expressed disappointment with the material and thanked Good Good for taking swift action to remove it.
The PGA Tour also weighed in on the controversy, releasing a statement condemning violence and reaffirming its dedication to creating a welcoming environment for all. The incident comes as Good Good Golf has expanded significantly since its 2020 launch, growing into one of the sport’s largest content creators with merchandise, television shows, and multiple competitors. The group’s prominence in professional golf was underscored by its selection as title sponsor of the Good Good Championship, scheduled for November in Austin, Texas.
