With Kentucky football’s season approaching under new head coach Will Stein, the program is introducing fans to key roster members. Defensive back Kevis Thomas, wearing No. 19, is among the players who could play a significant role in the upcoming campaign.
Thomas hails from Perry, Florida, and stands 6’0″ tall and weighs 181 pounds. The 247Sports recruiting service rated him as a three-star prospect in the 2023 class, ranking him at No. 574 overall. While Kentucky extended an offer alongside programs like Louisville and Arkansas, Thomas initially chose to commit to Maryland.
After appearing in six games as a freshman without redshirting, Thomas started six contests during the 2024 season, recording 21 tackles and two pass breakups. He subsequently entered the transfer portal and joined Kentucky, participating in all 12 games for the Wildcats in his first year with the program.
Looking ahead to the 2026 season, Thomas figures to remain in the defensive rotation as part of Kentucky’s secondary. With Stein creating opportunities for players to compete for starting positions, Thomas has the potential to establish himself as an impactful contributor on the defensive side of the ball.
