A newly released trailer showcases George Michael performing at the height of his solo career in a forthcoming concert film. The movie, titled George Michael: The Faith Tour, draws from archival footage of two performances the artist delivered in Paris during 1988, a pivotal moment when his debut solo album Faith was gaining significant commercial momentum.
The promotional clip highlights several of Michael’s most recognizable songs, including “Careless Whisper” from his earlier work with Wham!, alongside major tracks from the Faith album such as “Father Figure,” “I Want Your Sex,” and the album’s title track. An interview segment included in the trailer features Michael reflecting on what the concept of faith represented to him personally during that era.
Directors Andy Morahan and David Austin assembled the film using previously unreleased material captured on 35mm film across the two concert nights at Palais Omnisports de Paris-Bercy, now known as Accor Arena. The theatrical release is scheduled for December 11, and screenings will be accompanied by a short film called Finding Faith, directed by Mary McCartney, which incorporates an unpublished interview with Michael alongside rare photographs and behind-the-scenes footage.
