Disney has announced the highly anticipated third installment of “Frozen,” scheduled to arrive in theaters on November 24, 2027. The studio is continuing its tradition of releasing the franchise’s films around the Thanksgiving holiday, following the successful debuts of the previous two movies.
While plot details remain largely under wraps, Disney has confirmed several key story developments. The beloved characters Anna and Kristoff will exchange vows in the film, marking a significant milestone for the couple. Additionally, the snowman Olaf will experience his own romantic subplot with a character named Samantha. The Kingdom of Arendelle will also face a formidable new adversary, introducing fresh conflict to the narrative.
The returning voice cast includes Kristen Bell as Anna, Idina Menzel as Elsa, Jonathan Groff as Kristoff, and Josh Gad as Olaf. The acclaimed songwriting team of Kristen Anderson-Lopez and Robert Lopez, who composed music for the first two films, will continue their work on this upcoming installment. Disney has already greenlit a fourth “Frozen” film, though no release date has been announced for that project.
