Indiana Fever guard Kelsey Mitchell etched her name into WNBA history Thursday night during the team’s matchup against the Dallas Wings. Mitchell extended her remarkable scoring streak to 21 consecutive regular-season games with at least 20 points, surpassing the previous record held by Las Vegas Aces star A’ja Wilson. Wilson had established the prior mark of 20 straight games spanning the 2023 and 2024 seasons.
Mitchell reached the 20-point threshold before halftime in the Wings contest, receiving an inbound pass from teammate Caitlin Clark and converting a layup to secure the historic milestone. The veteran guard has been a dominant force throughout the season, averaging 24.3 points per game while shooting at a 50.7 percent clip from the field and 44.3 percent from beyond the arc through 33 games played.
In addition to the consecutive scoring record, Mitchell also broke a franchise record during Thursday’s game. She surpassed her own single-season scoring total for the Fever, reaching 891 points in just 37 games. The achievement represents another significant accomplishment in what has been a historically productive 2026 campaign for the four-time All-Star, who was drafted second overall by Indiana in 2018 and has remained with the franchise throughout her professional career.
