The San Francisco 49ers have acquired interior offensive lineman Jarrett Patterson from the Houston Texans in a trade, according to an announcement made Sunday. The former Notre Dame standout earned recognition for his college career, serving as a team captain and receiving offensive lineman of the year honors in 2022. During his time with the Fighting Irish, Patterson played primarily at center across 48 games and maintained an impressive defensive record, never allowing a sack while limiting quarterback hits to just five total instances.
Patterson’s selection to the Senior Bowl prior to entering the NFL further underscored his potential at the professional level. His addition provides San Francisco with additional depth along the interior of the offensive line as the team prepares for the regular season.
