Beyond his primary role, he offers tactical flexibility by operating as a wing-back or covering at left-back when needed.
Playing time at Fulham has been inconsistent this season, with the Belgian starting just over half of the club’s Premier League matches. Everton believe they can entice the defender by guaranteeing him regular football. His contract situation also works in the Toffees’ favour, with just one year remaining on his current deal, potentially motivating Fulham to negotiate a sale rather than risk losing him on a free transfer.
