Meanwhile, country music legend Dolly Parton’s greatest hits compilation “Ultimate Dolly Parton” has climbed back into the top five following news of her recent passing at age 80. The collection, originally released in 2003, re-entered the chart at number five with roughly 59,000 equivalent album units. The album’s resurgence gives Parton her fourth top 10 entry and represents her second-highest-charting album to date.
Parton’s passing sparked a massive surge in listening across streaming platforms, with her total streams increasing dramatically. Spotify reported a global increase exceeding 1,260 percent within the first 24 hours following the announcement of her death. Several of her most iconic tracks experienced exceptional growth, including “Jolene,” “9 to 5,” and “Islands in the Stream,” all seeing substantial jumps in streams both globally and domestically.
Rounding out the top five, Ella Langley’s “Dandelion” placed at number two, followed by Olivia Rodrigo’s “You Seem Pretty Sad for a Girl So in Love” at number three and Morgan Wallen’s “I’m the Problem” at number four.
