In a recent interview with The Times U.K., Mazar described the environment as “toxic” and claimed that crew members had negative reactions to her physical appearance following the birth of her second daughter in 2006.
Mazar, who portrayed press agent Shauna Roberts throughout the show’s run from 2004 to 2011, contrasted her early experience with later seasons. She characterized the first season as a “joy-fest” but noted that by Season 3, the atmosphere had shifted dramatically. The actress attributed some of this change to what she described as a heavily testosterone-driven workplace culture that became increasingly hostile toward her.
Despite these challenges, Mazar emphasized that she maintained professionalism on set and expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work on the award-winning series. She acknowledged that while the role was initially enjoyable to play, the behind-the-scenes dynamics eventually soured. Mazar later reprised her character in the 2015 “Entourage” film, bringing closure to her time with the franchise.
