Cristiano Ronaldo has married Georgina Rodriguez in a ceremony held in Cascais, a coastal resort near Lisbon. The football icon, who is one of the world’s most followed individuals on social media, exchanged vows with his longtime companion on Tuesday after ten years together. The 41-year-old announced the union by sharing an image of the couple’s hands displaying their wedding bands on Instagram, captioning it with their initials and a heart emoji.
The intimate celebration included their five children and took place exactly one year after Rodriguez publicly announced their engagement. Portuguese media had spent days speculating about the wedding’s location and timing, with many predicting it would occur in either Sintra or Madeira, Ronaldo’s birthplace. The couple ultimately selected Cascais, where they maintain a residence, as their chosen destination.
Rodriguez, a 32-year-old media personality and influencer, first met Ronaldo in 2016 while employed at a luxury fashion retailer in Madrid. The pair have since built a significant business empire together, including investments in hospitality and fashion ventures. Rodriguez gained further prominence through her Netflix documentary series, while Ronaldo continues his football career with Saudi Arabian club Al-Nassr.
