Mason was positioned on the sideline when the play moved toward the edge of the field, and despite attempting to step out of harm’s way, he was struck and fell to the ground with visible discomfort.
Medical personnel from the Colts organization immediately attended to Mason on the field before escorting him to the locker room for further evaluation. Head coach Shane Steichen provided limited details about the injury, noting that Mason had been “rolled up, right on the sideline” and that the team was still assessing his condition.
