Carson Daly has addressed speculation about his future with NBC’s singing competition “The Voice,” confirming he will remain in his hosting role. The longtime host clarified that he is not departing the show, where he has worked since its inception 15 years ago.
Daly’s remarks came in response to the announcement that Keke Palmer will host “The Voice: Celebrity,” a new spinoff launching in 2027. The host praised Palmer as the ideal choice for the project, describing her as a “triple threat queen” who is “perfect for it.” He emphasized his gratitude for Palmer’s involvement despite her demanding schedule and noted that both he and the production team are enthusiastic supporters of her casting.
While stepping back from hosting duties for this particular spinoff, Daly will continue his involvement behind the scenes as a producer on “The Voice: Celebrity.” The spinoff will feature a coaching panel including first-time judge Joe Jonas alongside returning coaches Queen Latifah and Riley Green. Both formats of the show are expected to air during the fall and spring seasons as the network tests the new celebrity-focused iteration.
