Prime Video has released its first promotional images from the upcoming young adult series “Boys of Tommen,” generating considerable interest among fans. The streaming platform unveiled the stills during its Obsessed Retreat event in Germany this week, offering viewers their initial glimpse at the adaptation of Chloe Walsh’s popular teen romance novel.
The series stars Conor Sánchez in the role of Johnny Kavanagh, a rugby player, opposite Nancy Surridge as Shannon Lynch, a reserved newcomer to the boarding school setting. The inaugural promotional photographs showcase Sánchez on the athletic field and Surridge in an intimate bedroom scene, both conveying the emotional intensity the story promises. The show’s plot centers on two teenagers harboring significant personal struggles—Johnny faces a potentially career-threatening sports injury while Shannon contends with difficulties in her home environment—who form a meaningful connection amid their challenging circumstances.
Season one draws from the first two installments of Walsh’s book series and features a supporting cast that includes James O’Donoghue, Sophie McGibbon, and Dixie Egerickx, among others. Director Brendan Canty helms the production, which is being adapted for television by Poppy Cogan. The series is produced through Wiip in collaboration with Amazon MGM Studios.
