Oley Valley dominated Wyomissing in Thursday field hockey action, securing a 3-0 victory with balanced scoring across the lineup. The Lynx found the net in both the second and third quarters, with Kadyn Rhoads contributing a goal early and Piper Showalter and Addison Hoffman each scoring later in the contest.
Other field hockey results from the area showed dominant performances by several programs. Conrad Weiser overwhelmed Muhlenberg with a 9-0 shutout, led by Emmylou Martin’s three-goal effort and Ryleigh Myer’s two scores. Tulpehocken also posted an impressive 5-0 win over Fleetwood, powered by Livia Kiwak’s hat trick and goals from Laylee Holland and Addison Boltz. Gov. Mifflin edged Berks Catholic 2-1, while Exeter defeated Central York by a single goal.
On the golf course, Daniel Boone prevailed over Schuylkill Valley in a 12-hole match at Reading Country Club, posting a team score of 224 to 232. Twin Valley topped Wyomissing 202-217 at Honeybrook Golf Club, also playing 12 holes. In nine-hole competition at Rich Maiden, Fleetwood bested Kutztown 158-162, while Tulpehocken defeated Northern Lebanon 161-176.
In girls soccer, Conrad Weiser dominated Twin Valley 7-2, with Noelle Clabaugh tallying three goals and Scarlett Sadowski adding two.
