A deal with Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen appeared imminent in the final stages of negotiations following Barcelona’s willingness to accept the reduced fee. However, the German club abruptly withdrew from discussions after struggling to facilitate their own player departure, specifically regarding midfielder Robert Andrich.
With Casadó’s permanent departure derailed at the last moment, the midfielder remains contracted to Barcelona through 2027.
