The achievement marks Bad Bunny’s first-ever Emmy win, as he claimed the outstanding variety special (live) category for his high-profile halftime show appearance.
The halftime show’s success extended across multiple technical and artistic categories, with wins in music direction, choreography, sound mixing, lighting design, technical direction, camerawork, and directing. Jay-Z, who served as a producer on the performance, earned his third Emmy for his involvement. The seven-Emmy haul surpassed the previous record set just one year earlier by Kendrick Lamar’s halftime show, which had won six awards.
