Maple Grove Raceway in Mohnton has announced it is temporarily closing its operations and halting all racing activities, the facility disclosed through a social media announcement on Monday. The speedway cited the need for “strategic refocusing, restructuring and regrouping” as the reason for the suspension.
In its statement, the raceway acknowledged the racing community, spectators, business partners, and supporters, thanking them for their patience during what officials described as an unforeseen and difficult period. The facility indicated that additional details regarding the closure would be shared as circumstances develop.
The announcement comes roughly eight months after the International Hot Rod Association acquired Maple Grove Raceway from the Koretsky family in December. The speedway has operated as a prominent racing destination in Berks County since the early 1960s, making the closure a significant development for the local motorsports community.
