Bose has unveiled its latest QuietComfort Headphones, positioning them as an accessible option for consumers seeking premium audio features without the flagship price tag. The new model will be available for preorder beginning August 8, with shipments starting August 13 at a launch price of $359. The headphones will come in five color options: black, white smoke, eucalyptus green, dewdrop mint, and rosewood mauve.
The redesigned headphones incorporate several enhancements across both aesthetics and performance. Notable physical changes include a sliding headband mechanism and pill-shaped earcups, while maintaining physical buttons for controls. The audio system now includes TrueSpatial technology for enhanced immersion, and call quality has been improved from previous generations. Additionally, the headphones feature a six-microphone system specifically designed to optimize noise-canceling for glasses-wearers.
Bose has upgraded the QuietComfort line with capabilities previously reserved for its Ultra model, including new Immersion and Cinema audio modes alongside ActiveSense technology, which automatically increases noise-canceling during sudden loud sounds. The headphones maintain 24 hours of battery life and now utilize USB-C audio connectivity instead of the previous 2.5mm cable option. These additions represent a significant capability upgrade while maintaining the model’s more budget-conscious positioning.
