Apple has enhanced its trade-in program by increasing the monetary value customers receive when upgrading their devices. The company raised credit amounts for iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, and select Android phones, with some devices commanding significantly higher trade-in values than previously offered. The Mac Studio experienced the largest boost, with its trade-in value climbing by $260. Most devices received modest increases ranging from $5 to $20, though several premium models saw increases exceeding $100, including the MacBook Pro, Mac Pro, and Mac Studio.
In a notable expansion of its trade-in program, Apple now accepts Android devices from major manufacturers including Samsung, Google, and OnePlus. The company introduced credit options for newer flagship models such as the Google Pixel 9 Pro XL, valued at $315, and the OnePlus 13, priced at $250. However, the company simultaneously reduced trade-in values for certain older Android devices, including various Google Pixel and Samsung Galaxy models.
These changes follow Apple’s earlier price increases announced this year, which affected numerous products across its lineup. The company simultaneously launched a new “Upgrade” leasing program designed to make its increasingly expensive devices more accessible to consumers, reflecting broader efforts to facilitate equipment refreshes among its customer base.
