The Williams sisters are making history at the 2026 Cincinnati Open by competing together in doubles for the first time at this tournament. Venus and Serena Williams received a wild card invitation to compete as partners in the Aug. 11-23 event held at the Lindner Family Tennis Center. Additionally, Venus secured a singles wild card for the competition.
The duo is scheduled to face off in a second-round doubles match on Monday, Aug. 17, at 7 p.m. ET on the Grandstand Court. Their opponents will be Peyton Stearns, a Cincinnati native, and her partner Marta Kostyuk. Tennis Channel will broadcast the match exclusively in the United States, with streaming available through Fubo.
The Williams sisters bring an impressive doubles resume to Cincinnati, having won 14 Grand Slam titles and three Olympic gold medals as a team. Their last doubles appearance together came at the 2022 U.S. Open. Serena, a 23-time Grand Slam champion, previously won the Cincinnati Open in consecutive years during 2014 and 2015, while Venus holds a 12-10 tournament record in Cincinnati.
