WFRV Sports Director Kyle Malzhan unveiled Marie Kane as the newest addition to the station’s sports coverage team during an appearance on Sports Xtra this past Sunday. Kane joins the Green Bay sports media landscape with a strong educational background and hands-on experience in broadcast journalism.
Kane completed four years of study in sports journalism at DePaul University in Chicago. During her time there, she held significant responsibilities at the university’s radio station, serving as general manager for three years while also working as an on-air host. Beyond her radio duties, Kane developed reporting experience covering both men’s and women’s basketball at DePaul as well as professional sports teams throughout the Chicago area.
A native of Jackson, Wyoming, Kane is described as a dedicated fan of Chicago sports teams. The station expressed enthusiasm about her arrival in what is commonly referred to as Titletown, welcoming her to the Green Bay community.
