Defensive back Marquis Wilkerson, a senior captain, proved instrumental in the comeback, intercepting passes on the Eagles’ first two possessions after halftime and setting up scoring opportunities for the Trojans. The game remained competitive early, with Skyline closing the first half to within 14-6. However, Wilkerson’s defensive heroics sparked a 23-point second-half outburst. Following his initial interception, Timothy Richards scored on a 9-yard touchdown run.
