Texas Tech University announced Sunday that Tony Graystone has been removed from his position as head coach of the volleyball program. Athletic Director Kirby Hocutt made the decision to dismiss Graystone, who was in the final year of his contract with the Red Raiders.
The timing of the coaching change comes as the Red Raiders have compiled a 6-2 record this season, including three victories earned at the Red Raider Classic tournament held over the weekend.
Alisa Blair, who previously served as associate head coach, has been promoted to interim head coach for the remainder of the 2026 season. Blair will make her debut in the interim role on Tuesday evening when Texas Tech faces Tarleton State in a home matchup at United Supermarkets Arena, scheduled to begin at 6 p.m.
