Starbucks is accelerating the arrival of fall flavors by launching its seasonal menu on August 25, well before summer officially concludes. The coffee chain’s announcement includes the return of its signature Pumpkin Spice Latte alongside an expanded collection of autumn-inspired beverages, signaling another early start to pumpkin spice season.
The expanded fall menu features both familiar favorites and new additions. Returning items include pumpkin-based drinks available in hot, iced, and blended formats, pecan-flavored beverages, and the Pumpkin Cream Cheese Muffin. New offerings include the Iced Banana Bread Latte, Iced Banana Bread Chai, and Chaider, a cider-inspired variation on traditional chai. The food selection will also feature a Chicken Bacon Protein Pocket and Hedgehog Cake Pop.
Data from Yelp reveals that consumer interest in pumpkin spice products has surged earlier than in previous years. Internet searches for pumpkin spice-related terms jumped significantly in July, with searches for “pumpkin spice latte” increasing by 301 percent and “pumpkin latte” rising by 256 percent during that month alone.
The early rollout of autumn merchandise and beverages continues a broader retail trend, with Halloween decorations and fall-themed products already appearing in stores nationwide before summer ends.
