Samsung has unveiled its upcoming 2027 Odyssey gaming monitor collection at Gamescom, featuring four models designed to deliver unprecedented performance for competitive and casual gamers alike. The lineup prioritizes flexibility, allowing players to adjust both refresh rates and display resolutions based on their gaming needs.
The standout model is the 27-inch Odyssey G6, which Samsung identifies as the world’s first gaming monitor to achieve a 1,100Hz refresh rate. The display features a rapid IPS panel with 1-millisecond response times and includes a Dual Mode function that enables users to switch between HD resolution at 1,100Hz or QHD resolution at 600Hz. The G6 is scheduled for global release during the second half of 2026.
Samsung also introduced three OLED monitors: the 49-inch G9 with a 360Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms response time, which can reach 720Hz in lower resolution modes; the 32-inch G8 featuring 4K capability with adjustable refresh rates up to 680Hz; and the 42-inch curved G7 with 165Hz refresh rate and 4K resolution. The company has not yet announced pricing or availability dates for the OLED variants.
According to Samsung executives, the expanded lineup offers players greater options for different gaming scenarios, from fast-paced competitive titles to visually demanding experiences requiring higher resolutions.
