The Los Angeles Rams released defensive tackle Jaxson Moi on Sunday as part of their moves to finalize a 53-player roster following the NFL preseason. Moi, who joined the organization as an undrafted free agent this past spring, did not survive the team’s roster reduction process.
The former Tennessee defensive lineman had recently completed his collegiate career with the Volunteers after transferring from Stanford. During his time at Tennessee, Moi appeared in 22 games and accumulated 27 tackles along with 6.5 tackles for loss, three sacks, two pass deflections and one forced fumble. His Stanford tenure from 2022-23 saw him register 37 tackles, 5.5 tackles for loss, one sack and three pass deflections across 24 games before entering the transfer portal.
The Rams also waived defensive tackles Tim Keenan and Bill Norton as part of their roster adjustments. Los Angeles will begin its regular season campaign on September 10 against the San Francisco 49ers, with the matchup scheduled to take place in Melbourne, Australia and broadcast on Netflix.
