Roger Taylor, the drummer from Queen, has unveiled a new romantic single titled “I See You Now.” The reflective track marks the second release from his upcoming solo album, which is scheduled to arrive in September through Columbia Records.
In an interview with BBC Radio 2, Taylor revealed that the song serves as a heartfelt tribute to his wife. He described the composition as a love song that captures the deep understanding that develops between two people who have spent considerable time together. The accompanying music video, presented in black and white, was created collaboratively by Taylor’s wife Sarina Taylor and longtime creative partner Simon Lupton.
The forthcoming album, titled “Violence Insane in a Beautiful World,” represents Taylor’s seventh solo endeavor. The musician explained that the album’s title reflects his concerns about current global circumstances, specifically addressing the prevalence of violence and turmoil he observes in contemporary society. Following the album’s release, Taylor plans to support it with a United Kingdom tour beginning in Newcastle in late September, with additional performances scheduled across multiple British cities.
While maintaining his solo efforts, Taylor has indicated that Queen remains active as a group, with members exploring possibilities for the band’s future direction.
