The candidate has faced particularly strong criticism from Bernie Moreno, a Republican Ohio senator and his ex-wife’s father. Moreno publicly stated that Miller fails basic standards of character required for elected office and should not serve in Congress. Despite these calls for resignation from within GOP ranks and the expiration of the withdrawal deadline, Miller has chosen to continue his campaign.
