Actor Lucy Davis has disclosed her diagnosis of Stage 4 breast cancer, which she revealed has spread to multiple areas of her body including her spine, hip, and ribs. The condition is deemed incurable and Davis indicated that chemotherapy is no longer an option. She made the announcement approximately eighteen months after initially receiving her diagnosis.
In her statement, Davis expressed her acceptance of her situation while emphasizing her intention to continue pursuing her acting career and animal rights advocacy. Her declaration to keep working has resonated with colleagues in the entertainment industry, including Jenna Fischer, her counterpart from “The Office,” who similarly battled breast cancer and has since recovered. Fischer publicly encouraged Davis’s decision to remain active professionally.
Davis’s announcement has generated substantial encouragement from her professional network. Co-stars from “The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina,” including Kiernan Shipka and Miranda Otto, shared messages of affection and support on social media. Director Edgar Wright and numerous other actors including Sarah Paulson and Stephen Moyer also publicly expressed their solidarity with Davis during this time.
