Rock icon Joan Jett has announced the cancellation of two scheduled performances in September following recent back surgery. The “Bad Reputation” artist underwent orthopedic procedures to address a fractured vertebra and will use this recovery period to focus on healing and physical therapy rather than touring.
The cancelled shows include performances at the Orange County Fair in Costa Mesa, California on September 5th and the Bourbon and Beyond Festival in Louisville, Kentucky on September 24th. According to a statement from her team, Jett made the decision in consultation with her medical advisors to prioritize her health and recovery process.
While expressing regret about disappointing her fans, Jett indicated she remains committed to her career and plans to return to performing. The legendary musician, known for her decades of consistent touring with the Blackhearts, emphasized her enthusiasm about delivering quality concerts in the future. This marks a significant pause for an artist who has maintained an active touring schedule throughout her career.
