Fabien Frankel, known for his role as the principled knight Ser Criston Cole in the HBO series “House of the Dragon,” is expanding his career with a new dramatic project. The British actor will lead “Love Unlimited,” a short film marking the directorial debut of Olivier Huband, an actor recognized for his work in “A Discovery of Witches” and “Becoming Elizabeth.”
Beyond his on-screen performance, Frankel will also serve as executive producer on the project through MarcelMonique Pictures, the production company he operates alongside his brother Max Mark Frankel. The younger Frankel will take on the role of lead producer. The short film, written and directed by Huband, centers on two lifelong friends—Max and Gabriel—who spend what turns out to be their final four days together at a residence in southern France, delving into themes of friendship, loss, and the enduring nature of love.
Frankel expressed enthusiasm for the project, noting that the script deeply moved him during an initial reading with his brother. He acknowledged the unique experience of acting in material he is also producing, though he expressed confidence in both Huband’s vision and his brother’s guidance. Filming is scheduled to commence in September in the Pyrenees region, with production support coming from French company All In Films.
