South Korean distribution firm Finecut has secured multiple territorial agreements across Asia for three theatrical releases featuring K-pop artists. The company announced placements for “After-School Exorcism Club: Girls’ Night,” starring members of Fifty Fifty, alongside “Wi-Fi Love in the Palace,” which features The Boyz’s Younghoon. Additionally, Finecut expanded distribution reach for the previously released “Wind Up: The Movie,” featuring NCT members.
“After-School Exorcism Club: Girls’ Night” will debut in Indonesia through Catchplay+, Singapore via Shaw Organisation, and Taiwan through Cola Films. The supernatural thriller follows five high school students investigating a malevolent spirit on their campus. Meanwhile, “Wi-Fi Love in the Palace,” adapted from a popular webtoon, secured deals in Japan through KDDI Corporation, Indonesia via Catchplay+, and Taiwan through Cola Films. The fantasy romance film centers on a contemporary webtoon artist and a historical palace servant whose lives intersect through a mysterious artifact connecting their timelines.
“Wind Up: The Movie” expanded its footprint with new agreements covering Hong Kong and Macao through Emperor Cinemas, complementing previously secured rights across multiple territories including Japan, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Taiwan, and Thailand. The film stars two members of the boy group NCT.
All three titles originated from Kitz, a global K-pop content platform operated by TakeOne Company, reflecting the organization’s expansion into diverse entertainment formats beyond music.
