Dick Clark Productions has announced the creation of DCP Studios, a new division aimed at strengthening the company’s production and creative output across its portfolio of major entertainment events. The studio will support the production of several high-profile programs, including the Golden Globes, the Academy of Country Music Awards, the American Music Awards, and the annual New Year’s celebration “Dick Clark’s New Years’ Rockin’ Eve.”
Leading the initiative is Yosef Johnson, who previously held the position of senior vice president and head of Vox Creative at Vox Media. Johnson brings over 15 years of industry experience, having worked in leadership capacities at multiple media companies and creative agencies, where he collaborated with major brands including Nike and ESPN.
The new studio will operate as a year-round creative hub, allowing Dick Clark Productions to develop diverse storytelling opportunities for both partners and audiences across multiple platforms. Additionally, DCP Studios will function as the branded production division for PMX, the parent company of Dick Clark Productions, enabling expanded creative services and advertising partnership opportunities.
According to Mike Chuthakieo, chief commercial officer for Dick Clark Productions, the launch represents a significant expansion of the company’s capabilities. Johnson expressed enthusiasm about building partnerships with advertisers while leveraging the company’s established reputation in live entertainment and its growing portfolio of content properties.
