DreamWorks Jr. has unveiled a trailer for “CoComelon: The Movie,” marking the first theatrical release based on the wildly popular children’s television series. The preview follows JJ and his companions as they search for his beloved stuffed bear, Boba. Their quest takes an unexpected turn when they discover the toy in a lost-and-found box, which transports them to a mysterious realm where they must navigate a new adventure to reunite with their cherished companion.
The film features a blend of returning and new voice talent, including Connor Esterson reprising his role as JJ alongside Camden Brooks, Olivia London Leyva, and Aerina DeBoer. The cast also welcomes notable performers such as Ike Barinholtz, Ego Nwodim, and Rhys Darby. Under the direction of Kat Good, the animation will be handled by DNEG Group, with Universal Pictures distributing the project to theaters on February 19.
The production boasts an impressive musical lineup, with R&B artist SZA contributing performances alongside original compositions created by Justin Tranter, known for his work with major recording artists. CoComelon originated as a YouTube series in 2006 and has grown to amass over 200 million subscribers. The franchise has expanded significantly across streaming platforms, including Netflix spinoffs and upcoming Disney+ content beginning in 2027.
